3D World to Improve Access to High Quality 3D Content for
LG Customers and Boost Efforts to Increase 3D Content Collaboration

SEOUL, Apr. 16, 2012 –- LG Electronics (LG) announced the worldwide opening of 3D World, a premium content service that will be available to LG’s CINEMA 3D Smart TV users in nearly 70 countries. With DNA from LG’s original 3D Zone Smart TV app launched last year, 3D World gives LG customers access to an expansive selection of high quality 3D content via a “card” on the Home Dashboard.
3D World allows customers the ability to search through high quality 3D content across numerous content categories such as entertainment, sports, documentary, kids, and lifestyle. Once the content is selected, LG’s CINEMA 3D Smart TV brings it to life in beautifully rendered 3D images. The action scenes in sports become more dynamic and exciting, documentaries more realistic, educational videos in the kids’ category more captivating.
Whether it’s cooking, travel, fashion or any other interest, there’s something for everyone. In addition to the content, LG plans to pursue further collaborations with global 3D content providers in order to bring the most sought after 3D content to LG customers.

SEOUL, MAR. 26, 2012 –- LG Electronics (LG) will present a full lineup of commercial air conditioning and energy solutions at the Mostra Convegno Expocomfort (MCE) 2012 — Europe’s premier air conditioning exhibition — in Milan, Italy. LG will highlight its latest system air conditioning solutions, including the highly energy efficient Multi V III Heat Pump VRF system and the new Hydro Kit, customized specifically for European consumers.
The Multi V III series boasts a 4.58 coefficient of performance and a larger capacity per unit with an extended piping length of 1,000m. The Multi V III Heat Recovery System, which is capable of simultaneously heating and cooling different zones with a maximum COP of 7.1, has been honoured as a Class A product and will be separately displayed at the event, “Verso La Classe A 2012”.
Meanwhile, the Hydro Kit, which will be unveiled for the first time at MCE 2012, offers a solution for floor and water heating, as it allows 77 percent savings in energy consumption and 51 percent less emissions compared to conventional boilers. LG will also showcase a range of air conditioning solutions, including the Multi V III Heat Recovery System, the Therma V, the H Inverter and the Prestige Inverter. Highly versatile building management systems will also be on display.

SEOUL, Mar. 23, 2012 -– LG Electronics (LG) is kicking off the LG Optimus L Series Event, inviting the company’s mobile fans to share their wishes and have the opportunity to live it. This event was designed to promote the Optimus L series lineup, which was unveiled at 2012 Mobile World Congress (MWC) and embodies the timeless, priceless, and endless moment philosophy. This event will be held through LG mobile’s official global Facebook page (www.facebook.com/lgmobile).

Effective from March 21 until May 20, people will have a once in a lifetime opportunity to live out their dreams with LG’s support. Prestigious Global Design Awards Recognize Design Excellence in LG’s 2012 Products

SEOUL, Mar. 14, 2012 — Fourteen of LG Electronics’ (LG) 2012 products were recognized by the red dot design awards for their excellence in the field of design. A panel of 30 independent judges considered over 4,500 products from 1,800 manufacturers and designers in nearly 60 countries. In all, LG took 12 red dot design awards as well as two honorable mentions.
LG’s success at the 2012 red dot design awards follows the 14 awards the company received among the 2,923 competing entries at the iF (International Forum) design award earlier in the year. LG Optimus 2.0, an Android-based smartphone interface, was recognized for its unique user interface design. LG was also recognized for being environmentally responsible in designing the MACHJET printer’s packaging using pulp molded recycling buffer material.
“LG’s philosophy is that every LG product incorporates user experience in its design,” said Kun-pyo Lee, head of Corporate Design at LG Electronics. “Our ultimate philosophy to incorporate designs that work but also evoke some emotional response.”

LG’s LTE Technology Enables Seamless Switching Between

BARCELONA, Feb. 28, 2012 –- LG Electronics (LG) successfully demonstrated the world’s first voice-to-video conversion over a LTE network at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012. The demonstration, which was based on LG’s proprietary technology, enabled users to switch back and forth between high quality voice and high resolution video call modes during an ongoing telephone conversation. Also demonstrated was a video sharing service, which enables real-time sharing of videos over a LTE network, as they are being recorded.
LG’s LTE voice-to-video conversion process adheres to the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) Profile for Conversational Video Service, the industry standard established by the GSMA to govern the delivery of both video and voice data over LTE. LG will launch LTE-capable smartphones compliant with Conversational Video Service later this year.
“LG will continue to lead in LTE by developing and introducing innovations that consumers can actually experience and benefit from,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “The LTE sector is advancing at light speed and our voice-to-video conversion technology is in the best position to be adopted industry-wide.”
At last year’s MWC, LG successfully demonstrated Voice over LTE (VoLTE) and video calls.
