LG’s Screen Vision Statement to Create the Screen Experience That Perfectly Fits Your Tastes and Lifestyle

As the world welcomes in the new year, LG is busy ushering in a new era in TV with the announcement of its new vision statement, “Sync to You, Open to All.” The company’s vision for the present and future of screen is all about syncing the user experience to each user’s individual tastes and lifestyle. It’s a vision that sees the screen as a seamless extension of people’s everyday life; a place where one can go to be entertained, to connect, to pursue their passions and so much more.

LG’s new vision statement, “Sync to You, Open to All,” displayed against a black background with the words, LG Screen

“Sync to You, Open to All,” although new, is a continuance of LG’s long-term commitment to changing the role of TV. The company aims to realize its vision by reflecting customer opinion throughout the entire user experience journey, factoring feedback into every single facet – from product and service development to User Interface (UI) features, design and, of course, the viewing experience.

In LG’s reimagining of what television is, the living room TV is now considered a lifestyle hub – one centered on the delivery of a personalized, customizable experience that lets users do and be more.

“Sync to You” relates to the delivery of a user experience that takes personalization to the next level. In terms of hardware, this means the introduction of new and diverse screen products intended for different audiences. These will include screens leveraging Zero Connect technology, to provide spatial and interior design freedom, flexible screens that users can ‘bend’ to their needs and screens that eschew conventional design.

As far as software is concerned, “Sync to You” focuses on providing unique experiences optimized for each user, thanks to webOS, LG’s open and constantly evolving smart TV platform. This encompasses the ability to customize a broad range of functions and settings to one’s preferences, starting with UI configuration, content recommendations and picture quality. But it also extends to the provision of an expanded customer experience, thanks to a wide range of interactive services from categories as diverse as cloud gaming, the metaverse, remote learning, home security, home fitness or health.

A variety of virtual worlds can also be accessed, from DASVERSE, a virtual art museum allowing you to walk inside and explore emotions beyond the creative work or SANSAR, the world first TV metaverse service, a full mixed reality platform offering life events that happen at the same time in both realities and Oorbit, a new cloud solution allowing users to access interconnected digital worlds. The Masterclass app on LG TVs offer access to over 180 classes taught by the world’s best instructors and thanks to a new partnership with ADT, LG TV owners can benefit from integrated services developed exclusively for webOS.

LG TVs also offer a variety of fitness services from Xponential, world’s largest fitness group and Les Mill, to MaxPro, which allows to connect a fitness machine to the TV and Exercite, a motion sensor solution that recognizes your body’s posture.

The second part of LG’s vision statement, “Open to All,” is about collaboration, inclusivity and sustainability. Through open collaboration, LG TV users will be able to connect to different platforms and devices across an ever-growing ecosystem. Communication and control will be especially smooth thanks to support for Matter, the latest open connectivity standard for smart home solutions.

LG TV is also designed to be accessible to all users, regardless of their age or abilities. In consultation with its accessibility advisory group, whose members include people living with various disabilities, LG is continuously developing and rolling out inclusive technologies and features. Among those currently offered on LG TV are audio-to-text captions and a sign language screen that can be easily moved and resized whenever the user desires. There are also services available on LG TV that have been created specifically with elderly users and children in mind.

Sustainability is another integral element of LG TV and of LG’s vision. All LG TV products are shipped in boxes that feature one-color printing and have been made from biodegradable materials. The TVs themselves contain parts fabricated from recycled plastics. LG’s OLED TVs deserve special mention when it comes to sustainability, using a smaller number of components and offering greater recyclability than their LCD counterparts. Furthermore, since they do not require a backlight having fewer parts overall, there is less to recycle and dispose of.

LG’s new vision statement, “Sync to You, Open to All,” overlaying a group of friends smiling

Guided by its new vision statement “Sync to You, Open to All,” and a firmly held belief that “Life’s Good,” LG is and will continue to provide LG TV users with differentiated lifestyle experiences and exceptional customer value.

LG CEO and Key Executives Outline Directions To Diversify Business Portfolio

During Press Conference in Las Vegas, Company Shares Plans to Broaden Business
Portfolio with Platforms, Content and Diverse, New Solutions

LG CEO William Cho reiterating the company's vision and strategy at the press conference in Las Vagas

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 7, 2022 — LG Electronics’ (LG) CEO William Cho and key executives reiterated the company’s vision for the future as well as its strategy to strengthen business competitiveness during a press conference held especially for Korean media in Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S.A., on January 6.

The CEO began by mentioning that, despite the uncertainty created by the prolonged global economic recession and continuing supply chain instability, opportunities still exist within the current environment. “We will keep pushing forward with our belief that opportunities can always be found by concentrating on how to provide our customers with new experiences and value,” said CEO Cho.

The CEO continued by sharing the company’s main focus in regard to business structure. “We will create a competitive business structure, making targeted improvements rather than focusing on short-term cost reduction,” he stated. “To this end, LG’s existing businesses will overcome current limitations by changing their model and methods, while our new businesses will grow through in-house innovation and the establishment of strategic partnerships.”

Securing Future Growth Engines by Expanding Hardware and Software Solutions Portfolio

During the press conference, company executives talked about plans to expand LG’s hardware-focused business to non-hardware areas, such as software platforms, content, services and solutions. This will enable the company to diversify its overall business portfolio by providing customized services and solutions that can be paired with or offered separately to its innovative consumer electronics products.

LG will further advance its content and services business through the intuitive LG webOS platform, which currently powers more than 180 million LG smart TVs worldwide. From 2018 to 2022, LG’s webOS licensing business grew ten-fold, with more and more TV manufacturers adopting the platform for its ease-of-use, customizability and range of premium services, including LG Channels – the company’s free TV and IP channels service. As of 2022, more than 300 TV brands have chosen webOS, with LG continuously increasing the capabilities and compatibility of its acclaimed smart TV platform. LG is also developing its own interactive content such as LG Fitness, an app that provides access to a wide selection of workout videos, and LG Art Lab, a platform for collecting, trading and displaying non-fungible token (NFT) artworks. Both services were recognized for their innovative design and user experience at the CES 2023 Innovation Award.

Another of LG’s non-hardware offerings, the LG ThinQ™ smart home platform has gone far beyond the mere linking of household devices, evolving to encompass the entire customer journey, with services that leverage the collection of usage data to create a more personalized experience.

In the high-growth arena of electric vehicle (EV) components, the LG Vehicle component Solutions (VS) Company is now delivering meaningful results after 10 years of sustained investment in software development and future-technology preparation. Last year’s order backlog of KRW 80 trillion demonstrates the global competitiveness of the VS Company, which has become a trusted innovation partner to some of the auto industry’s biggest names.

The VS Company is also preparing the launch of its next-generation In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) system – a solution that is expected to further boost the performance and reputation of its EV components business.

Moreover, LG is expanding into EV charging solutions, following up its 2022 acquisition of a company specialized in EV chargers with the establishment of a production line at LG Digital Park in Pyeongtaek, South Korea. Furthermore, LG VS is introducing an integrated EV charging solution, as well as developing and producing EV chargers and charging control systems.

LG is also accelerating the development of future core technologies outside of the EV components sector. In particular, LG NOVA (LG North American Innovation Center) is strategically investing in and working with promising technology startups in North America to secure future growth engines in areas such as digital healthcare and the metaverse. In digital healthcare, LG recently launched a remote medical treatment solution developed in partnership with Amwell, a U.S. telemedicine company, while in the metaverse, the company is aiming to expand cooperation with partners to secure core technologies over the mid- to long-term.

Additionally, LG seeks to establish a ‘future technology pipeline’ and strengthen company-wide software competitiveness. Along with accelerating the CTO’s future-ready R&D program, the company is securing top young talent in the field of software development as well as nurturing the software design and coding capabilities of current personnel.

LG is also expanding the customer experience through its company-in-company (CIC) operations, and via collaborations with startups and the sponsoring of innovation contests. A total of five CICs are operating under LG, including the Sprout Company, responsible for the groundbreaking LG tiiun indoor gardening appliance.

Overcoming Limitations and Achieving Consumer-Oriented Performance

LG will be focusing on the user experience even more on 2023, delivering new products and services that provide outstanding convenience and unique value to consumers. Last year, the company introduced a new paradigm in the home appliance industry with the launch of its LG ThinQ™ UP personalized appliances, lifestyle solutions that can evolve to offer more and more value over time. Appliances with ThinQ UP, previously available only in South Korea, will be sold globally from this year, starting in North America.

The company will continue to introduce category-leading, premium home appliances this year, with its 2023 lineup including advanced solutions such as the WashTower and LG refrigerators with MoodUP™. At the same time, the company will enhance its more competitively-priced product lines to solidify its market leadership.

This year, the LG Home Entertainment Company is ramping up changes to its business structure and embracing a new vision: Sync to you, Open to All. The new vision emphasizes the creation of experiences that can be tailored to each customer’s needs, tastes and lifestyle while, at the same time, enjoyed by all users. Presenting differentiated value that can’t be found elsewhere, the company is set to redefine the viewing and user experience by enhancing content and services on the webOS platform. Key features added to webOS for 2023 include a new home screen with a revamped user interface for better, more convenient user experiences; next-level personalization with customized recommendations based on users’ viewing and usage history; and CDX (Cross Device eXperience), a user experience that flows seamlessly from device to device.

Staying on the subject of home entertainment innovation, LG has been the leader of the OLED TV market for an entire decade now, with cumulative shipments of LG OLED TVs exceeding 15 million units. This year, the company will maintain its competitive edge by introducing new OLED evo TVs – adding on to the exciting 2023 lineup that also includes an OLED TV with Zero Connect Box.

Uncovering Customer Value Based on ‘F.U.N.’ Experiences

The company plans to prioritize customer experience (CX) and digital transformation (DX) initiatives to bring more innovation to the customer experience and to create a more customer-centric business model. The company is committed to using data-driven insights to produce new customer value based on the delivery of first, unique and new (or F.U.N.) experiences.

LG is leveraging a variety of data to enhance its offerings and the experiences they provide. These include ‘Trigger’ – data used to develop and design the customer experience; ‘Accelerator’ – data used to map out and implement customer experience innovations; and ‘Tracker’ – data used to monitor the customer experience. The company has already launched products designed based on the above customer data, including the MoodUP™ refrigerator and the 42-inch OLED TV.

LG is also using data to make production more efficient. Utilizing intelligent manufacturing systems based on digital twin technology, AI and big data, the LG Smart Park in Changwon has improved productivity by 20 percent1 while simultaneously reducing product defect costs.2 Additionally, the company’s adoption of DX is being extended to the procurement of raw materials, supply chain management (SCM) and services.

Becoming a Brand that Moves Customers’ Hearts through Endless Innovation

With its brand mission of Innovation for a Better Life, the company remains committed to building a better future for people and the planet. LG is also continuing its efforts to become a brand that resonates with all generations, with products and services that have unique value that speaks to everyone, regardless of demographic. In Korea, the company recently introduced experiential spaces – such as the Gold Star Arcade and ThinQ Room Escape – designed with younger customers in mind and is fostering digital communities for diverse products including LG gram, tiiun and StanbyME.

LG’s commitment to elevating the customer experience is equaled by its dedication to environmental sustainability and accessibility. In terms of sustainability, the company plans to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030 and transition all power sources to renewable energy by 2050. And by 2030, LG aims to have used a total of 60 million tons of recycled plastics in the production of new products. E-waste collection will be expanded as well as the company strives to create a circular economy that minimizes waste and resource consumption.

To provide appliances that are convenient for everyone to use, the company is increasing its focus on accessibility. Various efforts conducted in South Korea include the production of product manuals incorporating sign language and voice instructions, the creation of braille stickers for diverse appliance lineups and a sign language option for customer services.

Within the company itself, CEO Cho will continue his drive to improve communications with employees and build a healthy, inclusive workplace and culture. Mr. Cho held six of his ‘CEO F.U.N. Talks’ in 2022, the sixth of which was used to deliver his year-end address. Throughout the talks, which allowed the CEO to respond to comments and questions from LG personnel in real time, Mr. Cho spoke about the importance of operating with transparency and sincerity, and always putting the customer’s needs first.

LG is currently displaying its latest innovations at the company’s booth (#15501, Las Vegas Convention Center) at CES 2023 in Las Vegas from January 5-8.

Live Life Your Way: LG Showcases Lifestyle-Enhancing Screen Products at CES 2023

The focal point for entertainment in many homes, the household television is often the centerpiece of the living room, where it typically maintains a significant presence. Knowing that a lot of people nowadays want something that blends in rather than stands out, LG has created an exciting, diverse range of TVs that delivers differentiated value and new spatial and interior-design freedom.

The 2023 LG Lifestyle screen mounted on the wall of a CES 2023 showroom with LG XBOOM speaker on the table in front

To showcase the unique value of its Lifestyle Screen products, LG is presenting an exclusive and stylish experience at CES 2023 in partnership with premium Dutch lifestyle brand, Moooi. At CES, LG and Moooi are once again teaming up to present a seamless and inspiring integration of technology, interior and lifestyle. The special CES exhibit also underscores LG’s respect for and understanding of the diverse needs and different priorities of today’s consumers; its innovative range of products offers something for everyone, no matter their interests or tastes.

Coming under the Lifestyle Screen umbrella, LG OLED Objet Collection models provide beauty and greater spatial and decorating flexibility, functioning as sophisticated interior objects that elevate the look and atmosphere of one’s abode.

LG OLED Objet Collection Easel and LG XBOOM speaker featured in a living room showroom at CES 2023

The LG OLED Objet Collection Easel, for example, is ideal for those who want to bring a modern art gallery vibe to their living room. The TV, which – as its name suggests – resembles an easel used for painting or presenting art, can be installed leaning elegantly against the wall. In this way, the Easel itself looks very much like a piece of art displayed in a casual (but intentional) manner at a chic salon.1 LG OLED Objet Collection Easel also features a distinctive, movable cover finished with fabric by luxury Danish textile brand, Kvadrat. The TV’s design, though highly distinctive, blends in effortlessly with any style of home décor or color palette.

LG OLED Objet Collection Pose standing in the corner of a colorful room at CES 2023 next to the LG XBOOM speaker in black

The Easel’s stylish sibling, LG OLED Objet Collection Posé works as a premium screen and furniture piece. The TV prioritizes flexible installation and ‘living space integration,’ adding style to any setting with a flowing but angular form featuring soft, rounded corners and clean lines. Additionally, Posé is relatively simple to move from one place to another,2 a benefit that makes it easy for users to change up their space whenever the mood takes them. And when it is not being used for watching movies or shows, the TV can be switched to Gallery mode, which transforms the screen into a digital canvas for showcasing stunning works of art.

Two of LG’s newly unveiled LG Transparent OLED model displayed in a dark room with bright lights, one transparent and the other displaying content.

Visitors to LG’s booth at CES will also be able to see the company’s brand-new Lifestyle Screen product, the Transparent OLED screen. A fitting way to celebrate a decade of LG OLED innovation, the transparent screen represents the pinnacle of display technology. The futuristic product offers new, lifestyle-enhancing experiences and a level of interior design and installation freedom that has simply never existed – until now.

The transparent glass screen of the Transparent OLED screen provides a sense of openness, while its bentwood base brings an element of the natural world indoors. Setting itself apart from conventional TVs, the screen matches any interior style and can be placed wherever the user wishes, even in the middle of the living room or right in front of a window. Going ‘beyond the screen’, the Transparent OLED screen also offers a new type of user experience with its transparent gallery mode – showcasing art that seems to interact with the surrounding space. And in black mode, the TV provides the ultimate OLED viewing environment, no matter where it is installed or the type of content it is displaying.

A front and rear view of LG OLED Flex, with the screen displaying racing gameplay

Another product in the Lifestyle Screen family, LG OLED Flex is a “one screen fits all” solution that ‘bends’ to the user’s needs. In addition to the superb picture quality and fast response time of LG’s OLED display tech and diverse features for content viewing and gaming, the Flex boasts a bendable screen that can be easily adjusted from completely flat (ideal for watching movies and TV programs) to a spectacular 900R curvature (perfect for immersive gaming).

LG StanbyME and LG OLED Objet Collection Easel in a showroom full of sofa cushions and a hanging bird ornament

A display companion for the home, LG StanbyME can be easily taken from room to room thanks to its moving stand design. This versatility, along with a built-in battery that delivers true cordless freedom, means LG StanbyME can be placed wherever – and be used for whatever – one needs.

Each of the unique Lifestyle Screen products on show at CES illustrates the advanced technological and design capabilities that have secured LG its well-earned reputation as a global lifestyle innovator and leader in the continuing evolution of household TV. LG Lifestyle Screen products have received Best of Innovation Awards being recognized for the technological and design excellence of lifestyle solutions.

Curates Inspiring, Interactive Exhibit Furnished With LG’s Latest Lifestyle Solutions

LG Styler ShoeCase, Styler ShoeCare, Styler and WashTower™ Compact are exhibited in the Creator’s Room in LG’s booth at CES 2023

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 4, 2023 — LG Electronics (LG) is partnering with Jeff Staple, the famed New York-based designer known for his streetwear brand – STAPLE, his creative agency Reed Art Department – and numerous, high-profile collaborations with sneaker and fashion brands, to present the Creator’s Room at CES 2023. Designed in conjunction with Jeff and bearing his distinctive sensibilities, the Creator’s Room is a curated ‘living space’ fitted with stylish objects, artwork and LG’s latest lifestyle solutions.

Located inside LG’s booth at CES, the Creator’s Room perfectly illustrates how the company’s premium home appliances can blend in with and enhance any lifestyle. The space also shows off the unique aesthetic that has made Jeff a favorite of streetwear fans and ‘sneakerheads’ the world over and includes some of his most-cherished items, such as limited-edition sneakers, figurines and art books.

Supporting Jeff’s passion for shoes and adding to the hip, young vibe of the exhibit is a double row (2 x 5) of the LG Styler™ ShoeCase, a space-friendly solution for storing, displaying and caring for limited-edition footwear. Also seamlessly slotting into the space is the LG Styler ShoeCare, which leverages LG’s hygiene-enhancing TrueSteam™ technology to keep shoes fresh and looking their best. Additionally, both creative, cutting-edge products reflect the company’s commitment to good ESG management as their gloss exteriors are made entirely from recycled plastics.

All of the advanced appliances on show in the Creator’s Room are compatible with the LG ThinQ™ app, which offers access to a range of features and personalized services that help create a more convenient and customized user experience. For example, the app can be used to change the color of the refrigerator with MoodUP™, whose LED door panels present users with more than 190,000 possible color combinations to experiment with. LG Presents Commitment to Relentless Innovation, Delivering Better Life for All

At ‘LG World Premiere’, CEO Cho Shares Vision for Innovation
Designed to Make Customers’ Lives Better

Under the theme of Life’s Good, LG CEO William Cho shared the company’s continuous efforts to create innovation for a better life and ensure a sustainable future for all at LG World Premiere

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 4, 2023 — LG Electronics (LG) today held its press conference, LG World Premiere, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Under the theme of Life’s Good, CEO William Cho shared the company’s continuous efforts to create innovation for a better life and ensure a sustainable future for all.

Affirming the company’s commitment to take on new challenges despite any uncertainties, Cho opened the show by stressing that LG has known and truly believed that the answer is always with the customer. “The start and end of all innovation are our customers, and it is with this innovation that we aim to put a smile on their faces,” continued CEO Cho.

Customer-Centered Innovations for a Better Life
CEO Cho highlighted LG’s commitment to providing new value to its customers through the introduction of groundbreaking innovations, such as LG OLED, which has changed customers’ viewing experience completely. Now celebrating its 10th anniversary, LG OLED continues to set the industry standard for picture quality and unprecedented customer experiences. To further expand the customer experience and enable TV users to redefine the viewing experience, the company is actively working with partners to introduce various new interactive services through LG TVs, including the online educational platform MasterClass, workout app MaxPro and metaverse service Sansar.

CEO Cho shed light on the mobility sector, where, after much hard work, the company has established itself as one of the auto industry’s preferred innovation partners with its vehicle component solution business. LG has joined hands with some of the world’s most-recognizable auto brands, leveraging its customer insight from consumer electronics, advanced technologies and diverse areas of expertise to drive the in-vehicle experience forward.

Additionally, Mr. Cho also spoke about LG ThinQ UP, a new category of ‘evolving’ home appliances offering unique upgradeability and personalization options. The premium lineup includes revolutionary products like LG refrigerator with MoodUP™, which can change color to suit users’ tastes, mood or kitchen décor.

Future Businesses to Expand the Customer Experience
CEO Cho then underlined the company’s aim to provide ‘First’, ‘Unique’ and ‘New’ experiences across all its products and solutions in order to provide a better life for all. To expand the customer experience in more various fields, the company is also operating various in-house programs to foster innovators, encouraging LG employees to bravely adapt to new challenges.

At CES, LG unveiled some products developed under the LG Labs, the company’s new project that encompasses products, services and marketing activities based on experimental ideas and creative concepts from both inside and outside the company; ‘hover gym’, a fitness solution utilizing motor control technology that allows users to exercise without separate dumbbells; ‘excicle’, a home workout solution delivering an exceptional indoor cycling experience; ‘brid.zzz’, an optimal sleep care solution that senses brain waves to create beats that help users relax; and ‘pluspot’, a service platform that provides rewards when personal transportation devices such as electric bicycles and electric kickboards are mounted on its wireless charging stations.

LG is broadening its business portfolio to encompass new areas such as electric vehicle (EV) charging, digital health and content services for the webOS platform. At the same time, the company is increasing investment in core ‘future’ technologies, including AI and 6G, as well as collaborating with startups through LG NOVA (LG North American Innovation Center).

The CEO also highlighted the company’s continuous efforts for strategic partnerships with global leaders from a wide range of industries. Especially in the content industry, the company has worked closely with many valued partners to secure more content that customers can enjoy.

At the conference, Cho introduced one of LG’s key partners in content services – Tom Ryan, President and CEO of Paramount Streaming. Mr. Ryan made an appearance to highlight the combined efforts by the two companies to offer an incredible experience to tens of millions of customers worldwide. “Pluto TV, the leading free streaming television service, is expanding our channel integration for LG Channels, adding over 100 channels this quarter globally,” said CEO Tom Ryan. Mr. Ryan concluded by stating that the two companies will continue to expand their partnership and broaden their capabilities together in 2023.

A Pledge to Create a Better Future
Concluding his presentation, Cho reiterated LG’s steadfast commitment as a responsible corporate citizen to realize a sustainable future, emphasizing the company’s focus to create a better future for all. Efforts include the Global IT Challenge for Youth with Disabilities (GITC) which, since 2011, has empowered more than 4,000 youth to build skills in technology with the goal to eliminate the digital divide for persons with disabilities.

The CEO also mentioned the company’s promise to increase the accessibility of LG’s products and services to ensure easy use by the disabled and elderly. Guided by feedback from LG’s ‘Disabled Advisory Group’ – in operation since 2021 and comprised of members with varying abilities and accessibility experts – the company is continuously introducing barrier-free products that can be conveniently used by all. In South Korea, the company has various measures in place to strengthen accessibility, such as developing product manuals that incorporate audio and sign language guides, distributing braille stickers for appliances and operating sign language counseling centers.

Aligned with this, the CEO announced the four finalists of the inaugural LIFE’S GOOD AWARD, an innovation challenge set up by the company to promote its Life’s Good vision and empower innovators eager to make a positive impact on people’s lives and the planet. The finalists – Day1Lab, Dot Inc., NONA Desalination and SOLUTUM – will receive LG’s support to help fine tune and launch their inventive solutions to create a better life for all. After the four teams pitch their ideas for a final time on January 16 at LG Sciencepark in Seoul, Korea, a total prize money of USD 1.05 million will be differentially divided amongst the four winners, according to award ranking.

LG’s New OLED TV With Zero Connect Technology Redefines Freedom to Design Your Space

A Stunning Achievement, the Larger-Than-Life 97-inch OLED TV Comes With
Real Time Video and Audio Wireless Transmission up to 4K 120Hz

A man watching a TV series on the new LG OLED M3 while sitting on his living room sofa

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 4, 2023 — LG Electronics (LG) is introducing its 97-inch LG SIGNATURE OLED M (model M3), the world’s first consumer TV with Zero Connect1 technology, a wireless solution capable of real-time video and audio transmission at up to 4K 120Hz. The revolutionary new OLED TV M3 delivers superior picture and sound quality as well as greater flexibility to install and connect. A stunning achievement of technology and design, LG’s wireless 4K OLED is the recipient of CES 2023 Innovation Awards in two categories.2

Unlike conventional TVs, where all input ports for connecting external devices are located on the rear or sides, the M3 comes with a separate Zero Connect box that sends video and audio signals wirelessly to LG’s cinematic, 97-inch screen. Because it can be placed away from the TV, the Zero Connect box helps to create a cleaner, distraction-free viewing environment and gives users greater freedom to arrange their space. The box comes with multiple ports for plugging in commonly used HDMI devices, such as cable/satellite set-top boxes and gaming consoles and can also connect wirelessly with compatible soundbars for richer, more powerful audio and additional cable-free convenience. Along with offering users more freedom when curating their space, the M3 and its Zero Connect box allows users to easily install the new LG OLED TV without entangled cables. What’s more, without any wires to disturb users from enjoying their viewing experiences, the sleek minimalism of the 97-inch TV’s One Wall Design becomes even more breathtaking to behold.

LG’s wireless solution leverages state-of-the-art technologies to provide reliable video and audio transmission to the M3’s self-lit OLED screen, allowing users to enjoy content at 4K 120Hz and clear, crisp sound without interruption or degradation of quality. To ensure the seamless transfer of data from the box to the TV, the company developed an algorithm that instantly identifies the optimal transmission path. The algorithm also helps to minimize transmission errors or disruptions as it can recognize changes in the immediate environment – such as people or pets moving around the room – and switch paths accordingly. Additionally, for maximum signal strength, the box’s antenna can be easily rotated and/or tilted to align with the TV’s location. For maximum usability, the Zero Connect box is voice recognition-enabled, meaning users can turn on and manage the M3 and connected devices using simple, spoken commands.

Despite the imposing size of its screen, the M3 blends in effortlessly with one’s interior décor courtesy of its understated One Wall Design. The M3 and its integrated bracket sit flush against the wall with no visible gap, presenting a chic, art gallery aesthetic that augments the TV’s outstanding self-lit picture quality.

LG’s cutting-edge 4K OLED TV with Zero Connect wireless solution will be on show during CES 2023 from January 5-8 at the company’s booth (#15501, Central Hall, Las Vegas Convention Center). Keep up with all of LG’s exciting announcements at CES by following #LGCES2023 on social media.

SEOUL, Jan. 4, 2023 —  LG Electronics (LG) announced a technical collaboration with Magna, a global mobility technology company and one of the largest suppliers in the automotive space. The two companies have signed an agreement to develop a proof of concept for an automated driving-infotainment solution, aimed at providing differentiated customer experiences and enabling readiness for the future of mobility.

Under the agreement, LG and Magna will explore the technical feasibility of integrating LG’s infotainment capabilities with Magna’s Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) and automated driving technologies.

LG Vehicle component Solutions (VS) Company is recognized as a leader of In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) capabilities in the automobile industry. In anticipation for the car of the future, LG VS Company has been proactively exploring its portfolio of future products and technologies.

2023 LG gram Lineup Offers More Stylish yet Powerful User Experience

Featuring Brand-New OLED Models, Expanded Portfolio of Ultra-Lightweight
LG gram is Designed to Meet the Diverse Needs of Today’s Consumers

A amn using LG gram by putting the device on the stack of books

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 3, 2023 — LG Electronics (LG) is introducing an expanded LG gram lineup, which offers more diversity than ever thanks to the arrival of the exciting, new gram Ultraslim and gram Style, at CES 2023. LG gram continues to provide both power and portability, packing premium specs into sleek, ultra-lightweight form factors delivering take-anywhere convenience and exceptional user experiences.

LG gram Ultraslim
Headlining the LG gram showcase at CES 2023 is the brand-new LG gram Ultraslim (model 15Z90RT), the thinnest gram model yet. A laptop designed for users seeking supreme portability, the Ultraslim has an ultra-light weight of just 998 grams and a depth (when closed) of only 10.99 millimeters; around the same thickness of a smartphone or notepad. Even though it is the most svelte gram in the 2023 lineup, the 15Z90RT still supplies impressive image quality and processing power, packing a 15.6-inch OLED display with Anti-glare Low Reflection (AGLR) coating and a 13th Gen Intel® Core™ Processor. Further enhancing the excellent portability of the new model is the inclusion of an ultra-compact adapter.1

LG gram Style
LG gram Style laptops, offered in 16- and 14-inch versions (models 16Z90RS and 14Z90RS) have been created for people who love to express their unique style wherever they go. Both gram Style models sport an elegant glass design that makes each of the available color options shine and shift dynamically; moving and changing depending on the light and angle. The focus on design continues inside the new grams where a ‘hidden’ haptic touchpad with soft LED backlighting illuminates at the user’s touch.

Despite the attention to aesthetics, LG gram Style laptops deliver far more than just good looks. Each has a 16:10, OLED Anti-Glare Low Reflection display with a high refresh rate and features a 13th Gen Intel® Core™ Processor and a Gen4 NVMe™ solid-state drive (SSD). Like all other models in the diverse 2023 gram lineup, the 16Z90RS and 14Z90RS support Thunderbolt 4 and HDMI connectivity and offer atmospheric audio with Dolby Atmos, which is new to LG gram this year.

Along with the new-for-2023 Ultraslim and Style, this year’s lineup features new gram 17, 16, 15 and 14 laptops (models 17Z90R, 16Z90R, 15Z90R and 14Z90R); each providing the brand’s signature combination of strong performance and light, compact design. Great for productivity and entertainment, the latest 17- and 16-inch grams are equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce™ RTX 3050 4GB Laptop GPU, a 13th Gen Intel® Core™ Processor and a Gen4 NVMe™ SSD. Each of the new models weighs in at less than 1.45 kilograms – despite having a large battery2 that can handle more than 20 hours of video playback on a single charge3 – and comes with the same conveniently compact adapter included with the gram Ultraslim.

LG’s newest grams also boast superb picture quality, with all models employing an IPS panel with anti-glare coating. New for this year, variable refresh rate (VRR)4 support will enable LG gram users to enjoy seamless, tear- and stutter-free graphics when gaming, while the arrival of Dolby Atmos will deliver immersive audio that helps bring movies, music and games to life.

LG gram 2-in-1 and +view for LG gram also welcome upgraded models for 2023. The new 2-in-1, which comes in 16- and 14-inch sizes (models 16T90R and 14T90R), gives users the freedom to switch from laptop to tablet or vice versa, whenever they choose. Along with its 4-way super-slim bezel design and sturdy yet slim aluminum frame, the latest ‘convertible’ gram boasts a suite of pre-installed notetaking and drawing applications optimized for use with the LG Stylus Pen (Wacom AES 2.0). Meanwhile, LG’s portable monitor, +view for LG gram (model 16MR70), lets users double their screen real estate and enjoy easier multitasking wherever they go. Enhanced for the new year, the latest version of LG’s portable screen solution features dual USB Type-C™ ports, enabling users to connect to two devices simultaneously and enjoy the convenience of two-way power delivery.

“Welcoming the arrival of the brand-new gram Ultraslim and gram Style, the 2023 LG gram lineup gets even more diverse,” said Seo Young-jae, senior vice president and head of the IT business unit of LG Electronics Business Solutions Company. “A leading brand in the ultra-lightweight laptop market for the last decade, LG gram will continue to introduce new form factors to meet the changing needs and tastes of consumers worldwide.”

Visitors to CES 2023 in Las Vegas from January 5-8 can experience the latest LG gram products at LG’s booth (#15501, Las Vegas Convention Center). The new LG gram lineup will be launching globally starting from next month in Korea.5
